Sylvia DurrantWSRBA Queen
I am Sylvia Durrant, I’m 17 years-old, going on 18. I’m from Pittsville, Wisconsin and I own Dynamite Dwarfs Rabbitry. I started my rabbit project in 2018, so I have been breeding for 6 years. I selected Netherland Dwarfs as my main breed because they’re a fun, small breed that’s easy to keep in the space I have and I really enjoy the competition that comes with showing them. I raise 20 varieties of Netherlands, my two favorites being Himis and Chocolates.
My rabbits have had some really great accomplishments within my project which include many Best and Reserve in Shows, 2021 ANDRC Youth Rabbit of the Year, BJrOB at Convention in 2021, BOSB at 2022 Nationals in Columbus, and BOSB at Convention in 2023. One of my absolute favorite wins happened right here in Wisconsin when my Netherland Dwarf, Dynamite Dwarfs’ Hammerhead, won Best In Show in Jefferson out of almost 750 rabbits. A truly unreal win that I will never ever forget along with his big Convention win. Some of my personal achievements include, serving as WSRBA Duchess for a year, ANDRC Queen for three years, WSRBA Queen in 2023, and winning District 3 Achievement and Management at Convention in Louisville. By far my most special personal achievement was winning the National Unlimited Management contest at the 100th ARBA Convention. I have put a lot of time and effort into the care of my rabbits and the management of my rabbitry and making sure that things run smoothly, so it was very meaningful to be recognized for that on the highest level. Along with my rabbits, I am very involved in my local FFA chapter where I am the President. I help with fundraisers, the fair, and the annual meat auction to support the Pittsville FFA. A huge part of my project is doing my supervised agricultural experience pertaining to Small Animal Production and Care. I have taken my project to state three times now and have won second place every time with a deferral of first. I owe a lot of my growth and success to my mentors who have really pushed me to be the best person I can be. They have all been so helpful to me from the beginning and have encouraged me to work for what I have earned. I am really thankful for all of my mentors and those who have helped me along the way! |

Andrew HeriouxWSRBA Duke
I am honored to be your WSRBA Duke. My name is Andy Herioux. I have been the National Himalayan Prince and Duke, the WSRBA Lord, Prince and Duke, ACBA Prince and a member of the Wisconsin National teams since I was 6 years old. All of these achievements wouldn’t be possible without the support of my mom and dad, Tiffeny and Mark Herioux, my many rabbit friends, judges, and mentors. Special thank you to Ann Wimann, without her help and encouragement, I wouldn’t be able to pursue national youth contests and furthering my Himalayan herd. And Terry Kelman for mentoring me in cavy knowledge.

Kayden StruthersWSRBA Princess
I would like to thank Cherry Buttles and Sara Anderson for all the awesome help they have given both me and my family over the past two years!
I have achieved many awards with my rabbits for the little while I have been in the project. Counting all of the shows I have entered in my rabbit career, I have won SIX different showmanship competitions!!! This included winning Junior Showmanship at my first WSRBA State Convention! Other major awards include winning Best In Show at both the Outagamie County Fair and the 4-H Fun Show last year, and Reserve In Show at the Outagamie County Fair this year! I have also won 14 different Best of Breeds at my 4-H competitions. Besides awards there are also other things that I have accomplished. For example, I found a Broken Blue Polish buck that had enough color that was not too expensive to start off my breeding program. Which ... was almost impossible to find in my price range around here since needed a very specific age range so he was ready to breed by this September. Another accomplishment is that I also found a great show doe that I got to show three times before she developed a dewlap; which is a disqualification for Polish. I also have a really nice home grown Mini Lop buck, and if he gets one leg as a Senior, then he can be granded because he's already got two legs as a Junior!! To go along with my awards and accomplishments I also helped Dad build both of our barn sheds and their cages from scratch. Even with all that has happened in my two year rabbit career, my favorite accomplishment will always be that I found an awesome first bunny in my favorite breed! |

Scarlet RedeckerWSRBA Lady
My name is Scarlett Redecker and I am your 2024 Wisconsin State Rabbit Breeders Association’s Lady. I am so excited to hold this title. I am in the second grade and from Juneau, Wisconsin. I have been raising my Dutch rabbits for 2 years now. I only have 3 rabbits right now, but am planning on trying to breed my own soon! I love spending time with my Dutch (named Stitch, Bill, and Bell) and they like when I take them out and brush them or give them treats. They even play let me play Barbies with them!
Besides rabbits, I also enjoy dancing and volleyball. I have been enjoying going to camps over summer and winter to learn more for when I can play on my school teams. My family also enjoys camping during the summer, hiking, fishing, and just the outdoors. My biggest achievements so far with my rabbits are winning Best of Breeds and Best Opposite of Breeds. One day I hope to be able to win a Best 4 Class and even a Best in Show! I am very thankful for the Zimdars family and Melody Stremkowski for helping me start with some really nice Dutch. I am also happy my parents helped me meet these people to get a good start to showing. This was my first time trying the royalty contest and even though I was scared, I have learned a lot! |
