The points season runs from May 1 thru April 30th First, you’ve got your basic Class Points. Class Points are points earned in, yep, you guessed it – the class! They’re awarded as follows: 1st Place: 6 times the number of animals in the class (ex: 1st place of 20 would be 120 pts) - 2nd Place: 4 times the number of animals in the class (ex: 2nd place of 20 would be 80 pts) - 3rd Place: 3 times the number of animals in the class (ex: 3rd place of 20 would be 60 pts) - 4th Place: 2 times the number of animals in the class (ex: 4th place of 20 would be 40 pts) - 5th Place: 1 times the number of animals in the class (ex: 5th place of 20 would be 20 pts) Then you have your BOB & BOS bonus points. This is where I lost some of you before, I think! BOB: 1 point for every animal shown in the breed. BOS: 1 point for every opposite animal shown in the breed (ex: If a buck wins, and you have the BOS doe, you get one point for every doe shown in the breed). The WSRBA does not award extra points for any other winnings, including BOV, BOSV, BIS or RIS. But, ALL POINTS EARNED AT WISCONSIN STATE CONVENTION ARE DOUBLED! Fur and wool classes are awarded class points as outlined above. There are no bonus points for any fur/wool classes. If you show fur/wool, the points are divided into Type Categories as noted below: Rex Fur: Rex and Mini Rex Satin: Satins & Mini Satins Wool: American Fuzzy Lop, English Angora, French Angora, Giant Angora, Jersey Wooly & Satin Angora Normal Fur: Everything Else! Meat Pen, Roaster, Single Fryer & Stewer entries are awarded straight class points only, also. NOTE: For some reason, these classes are NOTORIOUS for not showing up on the sweeps reports I am sent by the clubs. I don’t know why – but it seems to happen all the time. So, if you see the sweeps report, and are missing points for these classes, please mail me a copy of your show report, or scan and email it to me, and I can count them. YOUTH SHOWING IN OPEN: Are you a youth showing in open? Did you know that you can have the points earned in open transferred to you in the youth sweepstakes? In order to do this, the youth must send a letter to me with the show information, and breed/s you would like transferred. The points will be transferred out of open and in to youth. Please be aware, though, that the youth has to send the letter – no parents, please! RABBITRY / FAMILY NAMES:
The WSRBA *cannot* tabulate points submitted under a rabbitry name. Entries must be done as all names of the exhibitors, not an all-compassing rabbitry name. All entries reported to me as rabbitry names are listed as non-members, and cannot be counted!
